Pakistan is most effected country by Locust swarms( TIDDHI DAL). There is huge loss to agriculture in Pak. Pakistani scientist find a unique method to tackle these locusts swarms. The scientists have converted these locusts into high-protein chicken feed. The project is started with slogan “Catch locusts. Earn money. Save crops”, pays farmers Rs. 20 Pakistani rupees for every kilogram of locusts and catching of the locust is made easy as they move during the daytime and remain motionless during the dark time. on other hand PAKISTAN EARNING MONEY FROM LOCUSTS BY CHICKEN FEED making. Chicken feed is mostly made by soybean that is 90 rupees per kg But by locusts is prepared by just 30 rupees per kg cost. so 60 rupees benefit.

The project make TIDDHI DAL into chicken feed( murgi dana) not only make money for farmers but also save farmers fields from dangerous pesticide to kill locusts.

LOCUSTS CHICKEN FEED IDEA:
First this idea come in mind of of Muhammad Khurshid (civil servant) in the Ministry of National Food Security and Research and Mr. Johar Ali, a bio-technologist from the Pak Agricultural Research Council department. Even they dint know this idea will work but this idea works because of farmer caching locusts and earning money as well saving their corps from TIDDHI.
WHY POULTRY FARM PURCHASING LOCUSTS:
There is good margin for poultry farm to purchase locusts from farmers at Rs. 20 only. Mostly chicken feed prepared by soybean that is 90 rupees kg and having 40% protein, Every year Pakistan import 3,00,000 tone soybean. after extracting oil from soybean it used for chicken feed. But making chicken feed from locusts is just 30 rupees per kg and even have 70% protein. so two benefits one is economical and other is more protein.
FARMER MAKING UP TO 20,000 RUPEES PER DAY:
After announcing this slogan “Catch locusts. Earn money. Save crops”. Pak farmer gave excellent response of this scheme. Farmer caching locusts in the night because it is not in motion in night. many farmers family caching tones of locusts and selling it to farms, making good income from its. it is also saving fields from chemicals to kill pests.
PAKISTAN AGRICULTURE MINISTER SUGGEST LOCUST BIRYANI:
Agriculture minister of Pakistan also suggest people to make locusts dishes because it have high protein nutrients. locusts biryani became famous in Pakistan. it like locusts first eat your crops then you eat them.
INDIA LOCUSTS CHICKEN FEED:
INDIA also worst effected by Locusts swarms in Madhya pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar pradesh etc. India also have big poultry farm industry, there may be opportunity to make chicken feed( murgi dana) from TIDDI DAL( locusts swarms). there is no doubt locusts have huge protein and sage to eat, many country use it as food items like china, Vietnam, Pakistan, some gulf countries etc. India should also think as PAKISTAN EARNING MONEY FROM LOCUSTS BY CHICKEN FEED projects.
