WHAT ARE CHANGES UGC CBSE NET NOVEMBER 2017:
This year UGC CBSE has made various changes for nov 2017 examination. Here we are providing CHANGES UGC CBSE NET NOVEMBER 2017. Now result is fixed 6% of appearing candidates.
- Fee structure changed. Now General 1000, OBC-NCL 500, SC/ ST/PWD 250.
- a) Candidates in the Reserved Category, who earlier qualified with 15%, will now be considered at 6%.b) Changes are expected in the rule which gives preference to Reserved Category candidates in the minimum cut-off list over the Unreserved Category.
- Scheme of Examination for for paper-I changed. Now there will be 50 questions in place of 60 and All are compulsory. Paper-II and paper-III number of questions remain same.
PROCEDURE & CRITERIA FOR DECLARATION OF NET RESULT
Step I. Examination qualifying criteria has changed. Now candidates are require to obtain minimum marks in aggregate of all three papers i.e. Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper –III for the award of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor as given below:
a. GENERAL category 40% aggregate marks in all the three papers taken together(Paper-I+Paper-II +Paper –III)
b. OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PwD/SC/ST 35% aggregate marks in all the three papers taken together.- Step II: Amongst those candidates who have cleared step I, a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.
- Step III: The number of slots for eligibility for Assistant Professor only will be equal to the 6% of the candidates appeared in all three papers of NET. The subject-wise and category-wise distribution of slots will be calculated by using the similar formula as used for calculation slots of JRF as given below.
- Step IV: A separate merit list for the award of JRF will be prepare from among the qualified candidates figuring in the merit list prepared under step III by using the formula mentioned.
- No. of slots under General (UR) category for JRF in a subject =No. of candidates who have opted for JRF and are qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor in that subject ×
No. of slots available under General (UR) category ÷ Total No. of General (UR) candidates who have opted for JRF and
are qualified for eligibility for Assistant ProfessorSame formula will be used for OBC/SC/ST category and all the subjects. - AADHAR number is mandatory.
ADVANTAGES OF CHANGES OF RULES IN UGC NET:
Friends if we look previous years results of UGC NET exam there is very low success ratio of candidates. Now ugc cbse has fixed the qualified percentages at 6%. It is good for all category candidates mainly General category aspirants. Last few years more than 70% reserved category aspirants was qualifying. Number of slots increased for jrf and Asst. Prof. Lect.
Last 4 Exams success percentage of appeared candidates in UGC NET EXAM is given below:
January UGC NET qualifed percentage was very low only 3.99% of appeared aspirants. Now November UGC NET EXAM will be 6%.
- June 2015 UGC-NET Exam: 4.83 per cent
- December 2015 UGC-NET Exam : 4.96 per cent
- July 2016 UGC-NET Exam : 4.08 per cent
- January 2017 UGC-NET Exam : 3.99 per cent
- All Future UGC-NET Exam : 6.00 per cent (With revised qualifying criteria)
